that house is different, and at a NP too

“We grew up here before (the insecticide) DDT, so there’d be Luna Moths on the windows. It was beautiful.”
Nice piece of nostalgia

I like how different it is, but man, to me it is quite expensive. Considering my current much more normal house was 1/10th the price.

Thats actually a good price for Plymouth. But yeah same here.

The housing market is so depressed in western NY that you can get absolutely insane deals on places you couldn’t elsewhere. But our taxes are some of the highest in the nation.

Til.
I still am shocked that people buy 1.5 million lofts in Detroit.

Nah, that’s still pricey for a 2000SF home. Similar size I would expect to go for about half or less of what they are asking. But that is not a purchase to be made on practical reasoning. Cool house though.

True and 2 bedroom which is odd. Still expected it go for more.

you still have to live in Detroit after spending all of that money.

Exactly.

2 bedroom 2 baths for $750,000?! wtf is this

Oh come on there was like 5 of them, tops. They all sat on the market too
Places like these still exist.
EDIT: switching out Mies’, this one is $125k cheaper so you can update it as you like.

Yeah I didn’t think they would sell quick. That link is a year old. That house on Taylor street is pretty sweet tho.

Is it just me or does it look like the one in Farris Buller’s Day Off?

Not gonna Dox myself but my friend bought a gorgeous house for $ 240k that was on C urbed actually. Lov ely big old with lots of original wood, its a nice place to live.

That looks nice but the garage design doesn’t look very impressive. But it appears to be
decent
sized. A combined
living room
and garage
would have been nice addition
.

Wow I love it. There is just a vacuum of original architecture these days.

I see that now.

No. Massive wastage of space. The high ceilings with the mezzanine are nice in theory but the execution is not good.
Also the canopy extending from the roof out about half way across the total width of the building (totaling a quarter of the overall space) is a massive wastage of space and doesn’t even have the garage integrated into the design.
I love good design, but c ould never live in a building like this without thinking I could of used the space better.

This would be 4x that price in my zipcode, but I aint in Michigan. Cool house, but I bet it is a maintenance chore, you’d need to be dedicated.
